Fontenelle Forest

Forestoration began working in the incredible Fontenelle Forest in 2018. Located near Omaha, Nebraska, this forest preserve includes over 2,000 acres of beautiful hardwood forests, split between two properties. The Forest has over 25 miles of trails, many of which are suffering from serious erosion issues due to poor design and lack of appropriate maintenance techniques. Forestoration was initially contracted to provide an assessment of the entire trail network, published in report format, including cost estimates for repairing all trails. In the fall of 2018, Forestoration began restoring the trails. Initial work has repaired one and a half miles of the trail network.
