In 2018, Forestoration collaborated with the City of Whitefish to design and install a native landscape within the median located on Central Avenue in downtown Whitefish. Though a small project, we believe this landscape will set an example of native plants thriving within an urban setting with no additional irrigation. These types of plantings are unique because they create a sense of place, connecting people within urban environments to the greater landscape they are a part of, particularly Glacier National Park. With a wide variety in bloom time, color, and texture, this garden provides interest and attracts pollinators April through October and survives on precipiation only provided from rainfall.
